OTHG Responsibility

  1. OTHG shall identify friendly businesses to hire and train unskilled, disadvantaged people.
  2. OTHG shall identify and confront less than friendly businesses that hire few or no Black people.
  3. OTHG shall negotiate:
    1. Starting salaries.
    2. Number of people to hire and train.
    3. Opportunities for on-the-job-training and/or apprenticeships.

Church Expectations

  1. Identify job applicants and aspiring entrepreneurs.
  2. Screen for best possible candidates.
  3. Communicate with each other to develop a job pool.
  4. Keep on-going dialog and promotion with members and other churches.
  5. Identify people who want to start or expand their existing business(es).
  6. Identify people realistically seeking jobs between $50,000 and $100,000.
  7. Help OTHG raise $50,000 for initial advertising, promotion and start-up expenses for OTHG Community Empowerment Initiativel.

What the Church Gets in Return

  1. More jobs and more income for parishioners.
  2. More recognition of efforts in the community and city at large.
  3. More self-esteem for parishioners.
  4. More money for the church.
  5. Another entity to help them promote their programs.
